Sales organizations are adopting AI for lead scoring, next-best-action prompts, forecasting, and outreach drafting. Speed improves. The quieter risk is ownership: when a model suggests a path, who is still accountable for the customer decision?

Ask the team these three questions this week:

  1. Which recommendations are advisory, and which silently become defaults?
  2. Can a seller explain why the system ranked an account or action — in language a customer would accept?
  3. When the model is wrong, how quickly can a human reverse the path without political cost?

AI can sharpen sales judgment. It should not anonymize it. The organizations that get this right keep a clear map of machine suggestion versus human decision — especially where trust, pricing, and long-term relationships are on the line.

If your team is wrestling with this tension, it is a strong starting point for a focused education session or advisory conversation.
